Our Missions
1.
Expanding Access to English Debate
Every student—regardless of region—deserves access to English BP debate. In areas like northeastern and inland China where such opportunities are limited, OpenVoice offers free and frequent online sessions to help students engage globally, one round at a time.
2.
Making Debate Affordable
Debate is a right, not a luxury. While many events charge high fees, we keep participation at ¥30–¥50, offering structured rounds, judge feedback, and a welcoming entry point for learners from all backgrounds.
3.
Rethinking BP for Young Minds
We tailor BP debate to youth—using timely, relevant motions on technology and society instead of abstract hypotheticals. Our format encourages critical thinking, global awareness, and confident English expression.

Our History
OUR FIRST DEBATE ROUND
On October 5, 2025, OpenVoice held its first internal BP debate practice match, marking the official launch of this non-profit debate platform spontaneously organized by young people. This competition, adhering to the principles of "beginner-friendly, frequent practice, and educational orientation", attracted 64 contestants and 10 judges from multiple international schools across the nation. The entire competition was conducted online via the Tencent Meeting platform, with a smooth schedule and stable technical support.
This competition adopted the British Parliamentary (BP) format. A total of three practice rounds were conducted, with five debates in each round. Participants signed up as individuals and formed teams on the spot, maximizing flexibility and participation. Each debate is scored and commented on on the spot by experienced judges, covering multiple aspects such as topic understanding, logical argumentation, conflict analysis and language expression.
It is worth mentioning that the debate topics cover multiple dimensions such as technology, society, and education, for instance: "Our side advocates that schools should prohibit the use of AI-generated content" and "Developing countries should restrict the dominant position of large companies in local markets", etc. These topics are not only relevant to current affairs but also encourage critical thinking, fully demonstrating OpenVoice's aim of encouraging public participation and discussions on diverse values.
After the event, over 85% of the participants indicated that they had "received substantial feedback" and expressed their willingness to "participate in more similar activities". The judging panel also gave feedback that the contestants demonstrated high potential and sensitivity to public issues, reflecting the growth power of the youth debate community.
The successful holding of this event not only verified the feasibility of the platform mechanism, but also laid a solid foundation for the subsequent regular practice matches and theme debate open competitions. OpenVoice will continue to adhere to the concept that "every voice deserves to be heard", promoting the popularization and equality of debate education.
Debate is not about winning arguments — it’s about giving voice to those who’ve never been heard.
